CASA of the Fox Cities plays a vital roles in the lives of children who have been abused and neglected. It is our goal to find a safe and permeant home for each child as quickly as possible.
Last year CASA of the Fox Cities was able to provide an advocate for 216 children who had experience abuse and/or neglect. We serve 243 children and youth in 2021. Unfortunately due to reaching max capacity of the number of volunteers each staff member can over see, we had to start placing children who had been appointed to CASA on a waitlist starting in November. By the end of 2021 42 children were on the waitlist.
It costs approximately $2,100 per child for a year of advocacy. This is just a fraction of what foster care costs per month. A child with a CASA advocate spends on average 8 months less in foster care than a child without an advocate.
Children with an advocate are more likely to succeed in school and less likely to end up back in the system.
YOU can help break the cycle and change a child’s story!
Please consider a contribution to CASA of the Fox Cities. Your gift will be put to good use immediately, helping us work toward our goal of assuring that every child who has experienced abuse or neglect has the support of a CASA advocate.
